Countertop problems we fix in Chicagoland

Countertop replacement in Chicagoland starts with a template and ends with a sink that is ready to use. We handle tear-out, templating, fabrication and installation, and plan seams where you will barely see them.

Stained or burned laminate

Swollen laminate around the sink and scorch marks by the stove — it is time for a surface that stands up to daily use.

Counters that stain easily

Unsealed granite and marble absorb oil and wine. Quartz never needs sealing; natural stone needs regular sealing.

Not enough counter space

A bigger island top or a new peninsula adds workspace; we add support brackets where the overhang needs it.

Tile counters with dirty grout

Tile counters trap crumbs and stains in the grout. A single slab surface wipes clean in seconds.

Seams that show or separate

A seam you can feel or see from across the room is a fabrication issue. We place seams away from sight lines and the sink.

Undermount sink coming loose

If the sink is dropping away from the stone, we remount it correctly with the new counters and reseal the edge.

Speckled builder granite

Swapping dated granite for quartz or quartzite modernizes the kitchen and keeps the existing cabinets.

Cracked or chipped stone

A small chip can be filled; a crack through the slab or around the sink usually means replacement.

Countertop Installation across Chicagoland

The same job looks different in a 1920s bungalow, a 1970s split-level and a new subdivision. Here is what we plan for in different parts of the region.

Prewar towns

My kitchen walls aren't straight. Is that a problem?

No. The template follows your real walls and the stone is scribed to fit.

Good to know before countertop installation

What does countertop installation include?
Everything from template to the final wipe-down: tear-out, fabrication, install, seams and sink mounting.
Do you install laminate and solid surface too?
Yes. Modern laminate can look like stone or wood, and solid surface gives seamless, repairable tops.
Do you do bathroom vanity tops?
Yes — we template vanity tops with the kitchen and can use remnants of the same stone.
Do my cabinets need to be replaced for stone?
No — sound cabinets hold stone. We level them and add support under long overhangs.
Can I put hot pans or a toaster on quartz?
A toaster is fine. Hot pans straight from the stove should go on a trivet — high heat can mark the resin in quartz.
Which towns do you serve?
Chicago and 49 suburbs, from Naperville and Aurora to Evanston, Schaumburg and Orland Park. Pick your town below for local details and ZIP codes.
