Kitchen problems we solve in Bolingbrook

We remodel Bolingbrook kitchens from the studs out or keep the layout and replace everything in it — whichever solves your problem. One crew coordinates design, demolition, plumbing, electrical, cabinets and counters, so you have one schedule and one point of contact.

Soffits above the cabinets

Removing the soffit gains a full row of storage. Sometimes it hides a duct or a vent stack — we check before demolition and plan around it.

Tile counters and fluorescent box lights

We replace tile or laminate counters with quartz or granite and swap the fluorescent box for recessed LEDs — two changes that make the kitchen feel new.

Kitchen cut off from the family room

If the cook can't see the rest of the family, we open the wall or reorient the layout so the kitchen faces the room.

Dated look

Orange oak, almond appliances, laminate with rolled edges, a fluorescent light box — we replace the finishes that date the room and keep anything still worth keeping.

Two people can't cook at once

If one person has to step aside every time the other opens the fridge, the zones are wrong. We separate prep, cooking and cleanup so the kitchen works for two.

Cabinets are falling apart

Particleboard that has swollen under the sink, loose face frames and drawers held together with glue — once the boxes go, paint won't save them. We replace them and fix the leak that caused it.

New appliances won't fit

Today's appliances are bigger and need more power and venting. We build the openings, circuits and ducts around the models you choose.

Small kitchen that feels cramped

We plan small kitchens around storage and light — the two things that make them feel bigger.

What the project covers

  • Design and layoutMeasured drawings, 3D views and an appliance plan, so you see the kitchen before anything is ordered.
  • Demolition and protectionDust barriers, covered floors and a clean site at the end of every day; we haul away everything we remove.
  • Backsplash and tileSubway, zellige, slab or large-format tile with clean edges and outlets set flush with the tile.
  • FlooringLuxury vinyl plank, porcelain tile or hardwood, tied into the rooms around the kitchen.
  • Plumbing and gasSink, faucet, dishwasher and ice-maker lines, plus gas line changes by licensed trades.
  • Drywall and paintPatching, new drywall where walls open, and finished paint so the room is ready to use.
  • Project managementOne project manager, a written timeline and updates at every phase.

A Bolingbrook two-story colonial from the 1990s: before and after

A two-story colonial from the 1990s near Heritage Creek, a typical kitchen for Bolingbrook. Before: golden-oak cabinets with oak soffits above, white Corian-style solid surface with a yellowed seam, 12-inch beige ceramic tile and two hanging glass pendants. The main complaint was a kitchen that looked and worked like it was decades old. After: cabinets in white uppers and deep green lowers with unlacquered brass knobs and cup pulls, warm walnut butcher block counters, a green zellige-look tile backsplash, warm oak luxury vinyl plank flooring and recessed lights and under-cabinet LED strips. Work included flooring, plumbing and gas, plus drywall and paint.

Woodridge kitchen, two-story colonial from the 1990s: kitchen remodeling

A two-story colonial from the 1990s near Seven Bridges, a typical kitchen for Woodridge. What we started with: honey-oak cathedral raised-panel cabinets with worn finish near the handles, brass knobs, almond laminate with a backsplash lip, beige sheet vinyl and a fluorescent box light in the ceiling. What bothered the owners most: a dated kitchen with worn surfaces everywhere. The result: cabinets in soft white with brushed nickel bar pulls, black honed granite counters, a white 2x8 tile in a vertical stack backsplash, gray wood-look porcelain plank flooring and recessed lights and under-cabinet LED strips. On site this meant backsplash and tile, flooring, plus drywall and paint.
